Product Spotlight: New SmartCircuit™ Batteries and Chargers

In June of 2008, Ultralife announced two new SmartCircuit™ products designed for military applications: the UBBL08 (LI-80) and the CH0027/CH0028.

UBBL08The UBBL08 (at left) is a rechargeable lithium ion battery that provides a smaller alternative to Ultralife's highly-successful UBBL06 (LI-145) battery, now in use with the Army's Land Warrior program for infantry soldiers.

The CH0027 combined with the CH0028 is a portable, lightweight lithium ion battery and charger system that powers communications gear in remote locations. The CH0027 (below right) can supply regulated power from DC or AC input sources while charging the CH0028 battery system (below left), and the CH0028 provides immediate backup power when power from the CH0027 is not available.
